Re-evaluate the Engine
Stop Control


Whereas despite overwhelming approval of the proposed engine stop control addition to ASAE S335 by T-2, PM-47, PM-53, and PM-61 Committees, the ASAE PM-03 Committee has approved the proposal by only a two-thirds majority and this normally signals failure of passage;

Be it therefore resolved...

...that the members of the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc., request that the members of the PM-03 Committee of ASAE re-evaluate the proposed Engine Stop Control after a further explanation of its value. Should the PM-03 members not change their vote sufficiently to assure the approval of the proposed Standard;

And, be it further resolved...

...that a revised and simplified Engine Shut-Off proposal as drafted by Wayne Hartman, be submitted for their consideration.
