Extension Safety Program Leader
 
Whereas the USDA Extension Service Safety Leader position has been open since the retirement of Robert Gilden;

Whereas this position is an integral component of the overall agricultural safety movement;

Be it therefore resolved...

...that the president communicate with Director Mary Nell Greenwood that the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc. commends the administration of the USDA Extension Service for providing leadership for the State Extension agricultural safety programs by arranging for a state extension leader to fulfill this leadership role during 1982-83;

And, be it further resolved...

...that the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc., requests that a full-time Washington-based Extension Safety Program Leader position be included in the Extension Service staffing target to be reached within the next five years.
