Motorcycle Operators and Passengers

 

Whereas head injuries appear to be the leading cause of injury and death to motorcycle operators and passengers;

Whereas the resulting fatalities and injuries do not merely involve the rights of the individual operator or passenger but the rights and financial burden placed on all of our society in general;

Whereas the resulting fatalities and injuries do not merely involve the rights of the individual operator or passenger but the rights and financial burden placed on all of our society in general;

Be it therefore resolved...

...that the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc., go on record encouraging the re-instatement of state laws stipulating that all operators of or passengers riding on motorcycles on public roads or highways must wear approved safety helmets.
