The Western Area Laboratory for Occupational Safety and Health
Whereas the Western Area Laboratory for Occupational Safety and Health (WALOSH) was established at Salt Lake City to, in part, conduct research into agricultural occupational safety and health problems;
Whereas this laboratory is being closed in the near future;
Whereas no official statement has been issued which specifically identifies how the agricultural safety and health research is to be continued;
Be it therefore resolved...
...that the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc., requests that the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare issue such a statement and provide assurance that research efforts begun in this area will be continued and/or expanded with specific visibility given to agricultural safety and health problems as a unique area.
