Towing Tractors
Whereas tractors are occasionally towed due to a malfunction during which time the engine and/or the hydraulic or power assist system is not functioning;
Furthermore that reports from Ontario and from Nebraska indicate that brakes have not responded adequately while the tractor is being towed;
Be it therefore resolved...
...that the National Institute for Farm Safety, Inc., request that the FIEI Safety Committee investigate the above problems and inform NIFS of action taken to correct this operating deficiency.
